Kulbhushan Jadhav’s Mother and wife to meet him in Pakistan today

Islamabad: The mother and wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav reached here a little while ago to meet him today. They will leave the same day after the meeting, which is scheduled to take place at Pakistan Foreign Ministry here.

According to source, Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan, JP Singh will accompany them. On 20th of this month, Pakistan had issued visa to them to visit Islamabad to meet Jadhav.

Jadhav has been lodged in a Pakistani jail facing death sentence on charges of espionage. India had approached the International Court of Justice against his execution which was later halted by ICJ pending the final verdict.

However, New Delhi has been maintaining that Jadhav, a retired Navy officer, was kidnapped from Iran where he had some business interest.
