Kotia gets bank services, soon to get police station

Koraput: To their much delight, Kotia villagers, of the district on the border of Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border, got bank services today and are going to get a police station soon.

According to reports, Pottangi MLA and Chairperson of District Planning Committees (DPC) Prafulla Kumar Pangi inaugurated the customer service point of Utkal Gramin Bank in Kotia today.

As many as five persons opened their account at the customer service point on the first day. The MLA himself opened an account.

This apart, Pottangi also distributed labour cards to more than 100 people of the village today.

The government had earlier started bus serves to the remote village and is mulling over launching different developmental projects in the village soon.

Likewise, South Western range DIG, Ashish Singh and Koraput SP, Kanwar Vishal Singh visited Kotia today and identified 3 acres of land to set up a police station.

Singh said that the police station wok will being within two months.

Kotia was on the headline following the trespassing of AP officials, following which Odisha government started different developmental works there.
