Koraput: A signal manager was killed and two others railway employees have been critically injured in a train mishap near Koraput Railway station on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as D. Bhattacharya. The injured duo- Trackman Sanadhar Hantal and Helper R Kapilash Raju – were rushed to Koraput Government Hopital and later sent to Visakhapatnam as their health condition deteriorated.
The incident happened at around 2.30 AM last night, when the three railway employees were engaged in repairing a track and a rail engine coming from wrong route hit them. Bhattacharya died on the spot.
