KISS Foundation Extends Helping Hand to a Trust for Disables

Bhubaneswar: KISS Foundation has extended its helping hand to Bhubaneswar based India Charity Foundation Trust that works for the disabled persons. On the occasion of the International Disabled Day today, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KISS Foundation donated Rs. 1 lakh for the sake of self-reliance of the disabled persons through the Trust. The Chief of the Trust, Mr. Tuna Prusty received the donation from Dr. Samanta.

Dr. Samanta has been providing assistance personally to this Trust at different points of time. The 25-member Trust resolved to become self-reliant recently and this was communicated to Dr. Samanta by Mr. Prusty. Following this, Dr. Samanta extended his helping hand to the Trust and advised them to purchase a Sal-leaf plate manufacturing machine. The members of the Trust have assured Dr. Samanta to earn Rs. 3000 per month through this machine which would make them self reliant.

At the forenoon, International Disabled Day was observed at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) premises. Placing their struggling stories, as many as 75 students and staff of KISS narrated how they have become able to stand on their own feet after getting education from KISS. Thereafter, KISS arranged their visit to different tourist spots of Bhubaneswar.
