Bhubaneswar: Naushin Yasmin, a B Tech 6th Semester student from KIIT School of Civil Engineering, has been selected for the prestigious MITACS Globalink Research Internship Award of the Government of Canada.
Yasmin was preparing under the able guidance and support from Prof Kundan Samal.
She will work with a professor from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada for three months on a project “Harvesting Clean Energy from Wastewater by Membranes.”
Prior to getting the offer letter, Yasmin was interviewed by a professor at University of Northern British Columbia, Canada in the month of January 2021.
The student of KIIT University had published a paper during her 5th semester in a high impact factor journal “Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering,” which also plays a major role in the selection process.
Meanwhile, Founder of KIIT and KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated Naushin Yasmin for her achievement.
