KIIT and KISS extend helping hand to slain DD Cameraman’s family

Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar will provide a job to the wife of slain DD Cameraman Achyutananda Sahu’s wife.

Renowned educationist and KIIT founder Dr Achyuta Samanta announced of the assistance to late Sahu’s family who was killed in a Maoist ambush in Nilawaya forest area on October 30, 2018. Dr Samanta made no delay in responding to a request by Doordarshan (DD) employees’ association for the same. He also saluted to the courage of late Sahu and condemned the Maoist attack on police and media persons.

Notably, a resident of Bolangir district of Odisha late Sahu was fond of taking challenging assignments. He had carried out his duties successfully under risky environments in J&K, Northeast border areas and disaster-hit regions. He was part of a DD crew which was on a pre-election coverage to Chhattisgarh when the attack took place.
