Khordha registering the highest number of 243 Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A total of 443 Covid-19 positive cases including 75 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,35,077, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Sunday.

Among the 443 positives, there are 258 quarantine cases and 185 local contact cases. The new recovery cases stands at 562, taking the total number of 10,21,742. Hence, the number of active cases stands at 4,997.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of three COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,285 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 55 years old Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

2. A 79 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District.

3. A 36 years old Male of Sundargarh District.
