New DelhI: Weightlifters made Odisha proud by winning two medals in the ongoing Khelo India School Games on Monday.
Bhakrtaram Desti won gold in boys 50kg class with a total lift of 176kg while Sneha Soren secured silver in girls 48kg category with a total of 133kg.
On the other hand, Odisha hockey boys also entered into semifinals. They defeated Delhi by 5-1 goals to qualify for the semifinals.
Earlier, Odisha boys team won their inaugural encounter with Rajasthan by 14-3 and in the second league match they defeated Punjab by 3-1 goals.
