Jajpur: The death toll of Kharasrota river drowning tragedy rose to five as the rescue operation team comprising of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and firefighters fished out yet another body this evening.
According to sources, one more body of a youth has been recovered from the Kharasrota River. However, one more youth still remained untraceable, said sources.
It is to be noted here that a group of youth went to take bath in the river near Badasuar Bandhamunda ghat in Jajpur after playing Holi yesterday. However, six of them went missing after drowning in the river.
The firefighters and ODRAF team with the help of local people carried out search operations to trace them.
