Keonjhar: The Vigilance slueths on Tuesday conducted raid at the Asst Engineer SDO, Meter Relay Testing under TPNODL(TATA POWER) Maheswar Sethi residence and his office in Keonjhar district on the allegations of amassing assets disproportionate to his sources of income.
The slueths conducted a raid at five places in Keonjhar district including his residence at Sponge colony in Kashipur, in-laws house in Remuli, ancestral house at Mukundapur Patna in Ghatagaon block. 5 teams comprising 2 DSPs, 6 Inspectors and other staff conducted a search.
During the raid, two double storeyed buildings, 1 two wheeler and three plots have been unearthed so far.
In an official statement regarding the arrest of SDO Maheswar Sethi at Keonjhar, the CEO of TPNODL Bhaskar Sarkar says, ” The arrest of SDO in a disproportionate asset case is a very serious matter for us and against the work ethics of TPNODL. We are looking into the case and are in touch with the State Vigilance Department . We have already initiated an internal enquiry through a high level committee comprising of senior most officials. Strict action will be taken against the erring officer which would include suspension and even termination of services.”
