Keonjhar Sadar Block JE caught red-handed while taking bribe

Keonjhar: The Vigilance department sleuths caught Keonjhar Sadar Block Junior Engineer (JE) Pramod Kumar Panda red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 11,000 on Friday.

Panda was caught taking the bribe from a contractor in lieu of passing his arrear bills and give him new projects.

The Vigilance sleuths, led by Vigilance DSP Devdatta Seth, were carrying out multiple raids at Panda’s office and residence following the incident, when the last reports came in.

Further investigation was going on, officials said.
