Kalinga TV Impact: Conjoined Twins Jaga, Balia leave for New Delhi AIIMS Bhubaneswar: Conjoined twins Jaga and Balia of Milipada village under Phiringia block in Kandhamal district on Thursday left for New Delhi by Rajdhani express for treatment at  the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

A representative of the Kandhamal district administration, National Youth Health Programme Assistant Manager Soumya Samantaray, an Ayush doctor and two volunteers are accompanying the twins along with their parents – Pushpanjali Kanhara and Bhuiya Kanhara.

Sources said that five specialist doctors will treat Jaga and Balia.

Following media reports on the plight of the hapless parents, Health Minister Pratap Jena had tweeted that the State Government would bear all medical expenses of the 2-year-old conjoined twins.

Kalinga TV had highlighted the story of the conjoined twins first in November 2016, and then repeated it on June 7, 2017.
