Bargarh: Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bargarh district Jugal Kishor Kumar Banoth on Saturday gave a probe order after Kalinga TV highlighted the molestation video which has gone viral in the district.
Speaking exclusively to Kalinga TV, Banoth said that he has directed Padmapur SDPO Laxminarayan Panda to conduct an investigation into the incident.
In the viral video, it is seen that a gang of 10 to 15 miscreants waylaid a college girl in a lonely place on Melchhamunda-Padmapur road while she was returning from college along with her male friend and molested her despite her repeated cry to leave her. They filmed the incident and have made it viral on the social networking sites. However, the exact date and timing of the incident is yet to be known.
