Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s first monthly family magazine ‘Kadambini’ celebrated its 17th annual day at Rabindra Mandap on Sunday.
‘The Kunikatha,’ a monthly family magazine for children and teenagers published by Kadambini Media Pvt. Ltd, also celebrated its 6th annual day.
On this occasion, Veteran Ollywood actor Uttam Mohanty was conferred with the prestigious Kadambini Sammana- 2017.
Dr. Achyuta Samnta, Founder of KIIT, KISS and Kadambini Media Pvt. Ltd, handed the prize money to the tune of Rs. 50,000 and a citation to Mohanty.
Renowned Odia poet Haraprasad Das was also felicitated on this occasion.

Three books written by Dr. Iti Samanta, Editor of Kadambini – namely Kathabarta, Jhada Parara Surjya and Krantidhra – were launched on the occasion.
Eminent poets and writers Sabita Singh and Bijay Nayak were among other dignitaries who attended the event.
