Justice Kalpesh S Jhaveri To Take Oath As Chief Justice Of Orissa HC Today

Cuttack: Justice Kalpesh Satyendra Jhaveri will take oath as the new Chief Justice of Orissa High Court on Sunday at 4 pm. The oath of office will be administered by Governor Ganeshi Lal at the High Court premises here.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, other ministers and senior judges of Orissa High Court are scheduled to be present for the ceremony.

Jhaveri, who was the Rajasthan High Court judge, will be sworn in as the 30th Chief Justice of Orissa High Court. He will succeed Vineet Saran who has been elevated as a Supreme Court judge.

Justice Jhaveri was born on 1958 and joined the bar in 1983. He was appointed as an additional judge of the Gujarat High Court in 2004 and became a permanent judge in 2005. Later in 2016, he was transferred as the Judge of Rajasthan High Court.
