Sundergarh: In yet another incident of man-animal conflict over dwelling place in the state, a jumbo strayed into a church campus in Sundergarh town this morning leaving the inmates in panic.
As per the report the mishap took place at around 8 am this morning at the RC Mission Church located under Sundergarh Forest Range while the inmates were busy in work. The jumbo which is suspected to be separated from a herd which entered the district last night by wading through Ib river however didn’t cause any damage to property at the spot.
Forest officials rushed to the spot after getting information on the incident and tried to drive away the jumbo from the church to prevent it from entering into nearby residential areas.
A 15-member team was monitoring the jumbo till this report was being filed.
