‘Juhar Bijepur’, says CM Naveen, assures to keep promises made during election

Bargarh: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday visited Bijepur and thanked the people of the assembly constituency for their overwhelming support to his party during the by-poll which was held on February 24.

Patnaik who attended the ‘Juhar Bijepur’ programme organised by the state ruling party at Barapali, also assured to keep the promises which his party made during the election.

“I came here personally to thank the people of the Bijepur constituency with a great debt of gratitude for the blessings during the election. I will personally monitor all the projects announced for Bijepur constituency,” said Patnaik while speaking to the reporters.

As a mark of beginning to keep his assurances, the CM laid foundation stone for 20 different welfare projects.

Many senior leaders including local MLAs and MPs also attended the ‘Juhar Bijepur’ programme.

Notably, BJD’ Rita Sahu won the much hyped by-poll with a huge margin of over 41,000 votes.
