Hyderabad:  Migrant labourer from Odisha dies mid-way while walking back home from Hyderabad. The deceased has been identified as Kasa Makdami from Tanginitanga village of Korukonda block in Malkangiri district of Odisha.

Makdami used to work as a labourer in Hyderabad. After lockdown was imposed in the country, he was left jobless. Finding no other way to earn money he decided to return back home. As road transportation was stopped in the country, Makdami along with four of his friends decided to walk back home.

The four persons started their journey on foot, but after they had travelled around 500 km Makdami felt unwell. Due to unavailability of any medical assistance he died on the spot.

The death took place in Bhadrachalam of Telangana which is approximately 200 km away from Odisha. The fellow labourers with Makdami reported the incident in the nearby Police Station after which the dead body was taken to hospital.

However the Telangana government did not provide any means to take the dead body back to Odisha. Hence the fellow labourers booked an ambulance, from their own money and brought back the dead body to Tanginitanga village.
