Paralakhemundi: A journalist working with an Odia daily was attacked with wooden plank allegedly by members of liquor mafia in Chandragiri under Mohana police limits in Odisha’s Gajapati district last night.
The Journalist Srihari Pradhan, working in the newspaper “Dharitri”, was returning to home when the incident occurred.
Pradhan, who suffered severe injury in his chest and legs, was rushed to Chandragiri hostpital from where he was shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for treatment.
Sources said, Pradhan had recently written against the illegal liquor trade in the region.
Meanwhile, Mohana police nabbed two persons in this connection.
