JEE Advanced Results: Odia boy Sambit Behera All India topper in SC category
Bhubaneswar: Bringing laurel to the State, Odia boy Sambit Behera has secured the top rank in the SC category of All India level entrance test Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Advanced 2019, the results of which were declared today.
A student of Allen Career Institute of Kota for IIT JEE, Behera of Koraput had cleared the JEE (Main) examination 2019 in January with 100 percentile.
In the results which were declared today by the Indian Institute of Roorkee at around 11.30 am, Sayantan Dhar secured top rank in Odisha. He secured an All India Rank of 51. Dhar is also the 5th topper in Kharagpur zone.
Notably, students can apply for admission in premier institutes like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) on the basis of the JEE-Advanced scores.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will announce the counselling dates for the admission of students shortly after the declaration of the results.
