Jalaka River In Odisha Flows Over Danger Mark, Fear Of Flood Looms Large

Balasore: Due to the incessant rains since the past few days under the influence of low pressures in Bay of Bengal, the Jalaka river as breached the danger mark and is flooding nearby areas.

The locals have been panic stricken ever since. The river water has been seen flooding areas near the Mathani today. With two new depressions being forecast  by the Met Department, the troubles of the locals might rise.

There has been incessant rain in the upper catchment area of the river hence the flooding say experts.

It is noteworthy that the river is flowing almost 1.5 mts above danger mark.
