Jajpur district administration declares closure of schools for cyclone ‘Bulbul’

Bhubaneswar: As a precautionary measure against the very severe cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ over west-central and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal schools have been declared to be closed in one more district of Odisha for two days.

As per the district administration’s decision all schools and Anganwadi centre in Jajpur will remain closed for today and tomorrow.

Notably, yesterday post a high-level preparatory meeting on ‘Bul Bul’ on Thursday, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena had informed that all schools of Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Mayurbhanj & Jajpur districts would remain closed on November 9.

As per the IMD prediction cyclonic storm, ‘Bulbul’ is likely to bring heavy rainfall to north coastal districts of Odisha today and tomorrow.
