New Delhi: Kandhamal’s famous twins Jaga and Balia, who were conjoined earlier on their head and now separated, celebrated their third birthday with much gaiety at AIIMS-Delhi today.
Jaga-Balia celebrated it by looking at each other for the first time post separation surgery. Earlier they were not able to see each other as both of them were conjoined on their head.
Their parents (Pushpanjali Kanhara and Bhuiya Kanhara) and staff of the AIIMS hospital were present during their birthday celebration. Earlier, they had celebrated the Christmas and New Year day in the same hospital.
Since their two phases of successful separation surgeries on August 28 and October 25 last year, the kids are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
As per the hospital authorities, there has been considerable improvement in the health condition of the twins, who were born on April 9, 2015 at Milipada village in Kandhamal district.
