ISL Club Delhi Dynamos Shifts Base To Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is soon going to have its own franchise in the Indian Super League (ISL), a top professional soccer league of the country with Delhi Dynamos signing an agreement with the state government.

Sources in the State Sports and Youth Services Department said that the club will be rechristened as Odisha Football Club (OFC) after the agreement which is likely to be signed at Bhubaneswar on Saturday in the presence of Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik.

“The state government will provide infrastructural facilities to the team while the team will play its home matches in Kalinga Stadium,” said an official.

The Kalinga Stadium has also been hosting the state-based franchise Kalinga Lancers in the Hockey India League (HIL). In February last year, the Kalinga Stadium had hosted its first ISL match.
