Khordha: Irate women tie Block Project Manager (BPM) to a pole for allegedly misbehaving a woman. Hundreds of women of Haripur gram panchayat detained the officer.
As per reports, the BPM allegedly misbehaved a woman of the regional Mahila Mancha of Haripur GP under the Chilika block of Khordha. Fumed over it the women tied the officer to a pole. They also alleged corruption against him. The women alleged that the BPM had misappropriated funds of their Mahasangha.

After a while, the officer was rescued after the intervention of the local sarpanch and Tangi police.
