Cuttack: Senior IPS Officer Satish Gajabhiye, who was recently reinstated by the Home Department and posted at the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack, will take charge as the Superintendent of Police (SP), Computer.
Gajbhiye was suspended in August 2015 for police excess on people during their demonstrations against controversial self-styled godman Santosh Raula alias Sarathi Baba near Sarathi Ashram during his tenure as S P Kendrapara.
The officer was also accused of assaulting a senior lawyer and BJP’s Kendrapara district unit President, and forcing him to do sit-ups at that time.
