Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik appointed 1987-batch IPS officer Sunil Kumar Bansal as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the state.
IPS officer Sunil Kumar Bansal was serving as the Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB),Mumbai.
Incumbent Odisha DGP Abhay is all set to retire on December 31.
