Investigating Officer And Public Prosecutor Felicitated For Conviction

Cuttack: Police DG B.K. Sharma today felicitated investigating officer Bichitrananda Sethi and Special Public Prosecutor Siba Prasad Majhi for conviction of rape and murder accused in Jagatsinghpur on Tuesday.

The accused Laba alias Kalia Mana was awarded death penalty for the crime. Police DG appreciated the effort of Sethi and Majhi and advised them to continue such zeal, spirit and sincerity in future days and bring more laurels for Odisha.

Police said that the accused was arrested on March 23 last year while the charges sheet was submitted within 60 days of the crime under charges of rape, murder and offence under POCSO Act.
