International Yoga Day: Odisha sand artist create beautiful sculpture in Puri

Puri: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a beautiful sand sculpture at Puri beach in Odisha.

The sculpture is World’s biggest Yoga sand art which is created on an area of 3500 Sq ft featuring Suriya Namaskar.

Pattnaik has also created another sand art featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Puri beach on the occasion of Yoga Day.


Meanwhile, another sand artist Manas Kumar Sahu has created a sand sculpture at Odisha’s Golden Beach on the occasion of International Yoga Day today.

Sahoo has tried to raise awareness among people to maintain a healthy lifestyle through the sand sculpture. The sculpture has “Yoga for humanity” and “International Yoga Day” carved on it.

Notably, the 17-foot-wide sand sculpture took about seven hours to finish. Sahoo has used about 12 tonnes of sand to create the sculpture.

“Yoga is the only way to stay healthy and manage your lifestyle,” he said. He has also asked the people to make time and join in creating a healthy environment.

International Yoga Day has also been celebrated on Puri Blue Flag Beach. Union Minister of Heavy Industries Mahendra Nath Pandey attended the event as the Chief Guest. The yoga camp was attended by hundreds of students from various schools, and colleges in Puri, members of various institutions in the city, and yoga lovers.
