International Art of Giving Day Celebrated Across The World

Bhubaneswar: The ninth International Day of Art of Giving is being celebrated across the world today on May 17.

The ‘Art of Giving’ initiative had been launched in 2013 by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), and Kalinga TV.

Millions of people across the world are now engaged in this noble initiative of the ‘Art of Giving’. The initiative has inspired people to share happiness, fun, friendship, and a helping nature towards others.

Every year, there have been different topics to motivate people. The theme of 2022 is Art of Giving is ‘Hope – Happiness – Harmony’.

A general meeting will be held at the Swosti Premium in Bhubaneswar on this occasion today. The Governor of Odisha, Prof. Ganeshi Lal, has been invited as the Chief Guest who will address the Art of Giving meeting.

The Editor of the Lok Sevak Mandal, Odisha Branch, and Printer & Publisher of a daily newspaper, Niranjan Rath, will also attend the meeting as the keynote speaker.

Adding to it, the founder of Art of Giving Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder and President of Unit 1 Shri Ram Mandir Baba Ram Narayan Das, Editor of Sivananda Centenary Boys’ High school in Bhubaneswar Swami Siva Chidananda Saraswathi will be the Chief Guests in the meeting.

Besides, the members of the ‘Art of Giving’ initiative have planted trees on this occasion on the outskirts of Cuttack. The camera team working with Kalinga TV also celebrated the day at the Ekamra Vihar Anganwadi Center in Ward No. 16 of Nayapalli.

Notably, the event will honor five people who have made outstanding contributions to the field of social work through the Art of Giving idea.

The people will be able to watch the live telecast of the meeting on the Kalinga TV channel at 5 pm today.
