Bhubaneswar: The inter-state bus services in Odisha began its operation from today which was halted due to the surge in Covid cases in the second wave of pandemic. The bus operations have restarted from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack following the Covid guidelines.
Reportedly, bus services have begun from Cuttack to Kolkata, Durgapur and Tata.
Although the number of passengers were less compared to the number of available seats, it is expected to increase eventually.
No passenger will be allowed inside the bus without the usage of masks, said Private Bus Owners’ Association Debendra Sahu.
The Private Bus Owners’ Association has welcomed and thanked the state government for their decision to allow the bus services.
