Integrated Police Control Room Inaugurated In Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A Modern Integrated District Police Control Room was today inaugurated at District Police Office, Sambalpur by DIG (Northern Range) Satyabrata Bhoi. Police said that the Control Room equipped with modern technology will function round the clock.

The Control Room will monitor the movement of 13 PCR vehicles of the district along with analysis of photographs of all vulnerable Chowks of Sambalpur Town through CCTV. Police said that as many as 60 CCTVs have been installed at 18 locations of the Town.

People in distress can also dial 100 Dialling systems which will connect directly to the Control Room and immediate steps will be taken to redress the grievances through the Control Room.

The movement of vehicular traffic along with traffic offences such as triple riding, rash driving, driving without helmet and movement of criminals and antisocial will be directly monitored at the Control Room through CCTV surveillance. Most of the vulnerable places of Sambalpur Town have been covered under CCTV surveillance,” said Bhoi.

Bhoi also flagged off four new PCR vehicles of the district police. Police said that with the induction of the four new PCR vans the total number of PCR vans in the district reached 13. The new PCR vans will cover both the National Highways (NH 55 and NH 49) and State Highway 15 passing through the Town.
