Injured bear climbs atop tree in Malkangiri district of Odisha

Malkangiri: Fearing humans, an injured sloth bear climbed a tree and stayed on top in MV-20 village of Malkangiri district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the sloth bear was spotted roaming in the village when two arrows hit the bear. Following which the bear got injured and climbed the bear fearing the villagers.

The local villagers spotted the injured the bear and informed the forest officials.

On being informed, the forest officials reached the spot and are trying to rescue the bear, informs Malkangiri ranger Jagannath Bisyoi.
