Infant loses her right palm in wild boar attack

Khurda: A wild boar attacked an infant girl near Dadhimachagadiya under Khurda Police limits on Saturday. The child lost the whole of her right palm in the attack and has been admitted in Khurda District Hospital in serious condition.

As per the reports, Bhikari Nayak, originally from Patrapali village in Ganjam district stays with his family near Dadhimachagadiya under Khurda Police and works at a local stone crushing site.

On Saturday morning, while Nayak and his wife were out for work, and their one-and-half year daughter was playing nearby. All of a sudden a wild boar, coming from a close by hill, charged at the poor child. The infant lost the whole of her left palm in this unfortunate accident. She was immediately rushed to Khurda District Hospital in serious condition.
