Indian Railways extends two trains to Bhubaneswar and Puri, Know details

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways have extended the route of two trains upto Bhubaneswar and Puri in Odisha.

The two trains are Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi and Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi and will run on their extended routes after fog reduces.

The routes of Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi and Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi  have been extended so that the passengers from Jharkhand and Odisha can facilitate their movement.

The Indian Railways are also planning to replace the old conventional coaches with the Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches in  Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi and Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi between April to May this year, claims sources.

Recently, on January 6, Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the inaugural ceremony of commencement of the Puri-Hatia-Puri Express train with LHB coaches via video conferencing.

Reports say that several Odisha MPs had long demanded the Ministry of Railways to extend these trains to Bhubaneswar and Puri.

After the addition of LHB coaches, the number of reserved berths will increase by 172.

    There is no train facility from Cuttack to Badamba Narsinghpur till today. People are deprived of it and commute to and fro in difficulty. Hon’ble MP and Minister kindly help and look into it.
