India vs South Africa: Counter tickets for 2nd T20I at Barabati sold out within one day

Cuttack: All the counter tickets for the upcoming 2nd T20I match between India and South Africa to be played at Barabati Stadium on June 12 have been reportedly sold out. As many as 12,093 counter tickets have been sold out within one day, said sources.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) had decided to sell 12,093 counter tickets between 9 AM and 6 PM today and tomorrow. However, all the tickets were sold out within one day.

After the police officials made an announcement regarding the sold-out of all the counter tickets and the closure of the counters, resentment brewed among thousands of cricket lovers who had lined up for hours to purchase a ticket.

The craze of cricket was so much so that even thousands of women were seen standing in the queue to purchase tickets. Even a scuffle broke out between them earlier today, which is why the cops had to resort to a mild lathi-charge to bring the situation under control.
