All India Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides Jamborette concludes

Bhubaneswar: The 18th All India Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides Jamborette being held at Sports Complex of Mancheswar Carriage Repair Workshop concluded today.

Gracing the occasion, Odisha Governor Dr. S. C. Jamir said that Bharat Scouts & Guides builds such men and women to bring out aspirations of young people without losing sight of its core values having ability to transform lives.

It strives to extend its reach even further so that every young person across the country has the opportunity to make themselves as responsible citizen of the country and as a member of their local, National and international communities, he added.

Umesh Singh, General Manager, East Coast Railway, said that gathering of Scouts and Guides from different parts of India under a single roof will exchange culture, tradition, language, food habits, folklore etc., from different regions.

The Jamborette had begun on 6th January where more than 2500 Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides volunteers from 16 Zonal Railways all over the country participated.

A colourful and unique cultural function was organised on the concluding day in which volunteers of Bharat Scouts & Guides performed folk dances.

Amongst others, East Coast Railway Principal Chief Personnel Officer-cum-State Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts & Guides Manju Ray, Alemela Jamir, Hon’ble First Lady of Odisha, along with Rajeev Sharma, Additional General Manager of East Coast Railway M. K. Poddar, Chief Workshop Manager & President, East Coast Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides Central District were present.
