Incessant rain creates flood-like situation in Gajapati districtParalakhemundi: A flood-like situation has been created at different places of Gajapati district due to incessant rains in the past two days.

According to reports, the water level in Mahendra Tanaya River and Guma canal has increased alarmingly due to continuous rain in the districts creating a flood-like situation.

While communication to as many as 40 villages has been disrupted due to the rain water, many villages have been marooned.

Residents of Badasingagaon in Paralakhemundi find it difficult to cross the road as knee-deep water flows over the road.

The rain water also marooned hundreds of acres of agricultural land causing headache for the farmers.

There has been no respite with, rain continuing to lash the district causing panic in the minds of the locals.
