Bhubaneswar: The IMD Regional Centre here has issued a thunderstorm and rainfall alert for at least 14 districts of Odisha till 10.30 AM today.
As per the latest Nowcast of the MeT Department, moderate thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and intense spells of rainfall are likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khordha and Nayagarh from 7.30 AM and 10.30 AM.
In another development, a cyclonic circulation has formed over eastcentral and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal. The circulation has triggered a low pressure area over northeast Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood.
