IMD predicts rainfall over Odisha till Jan 14, Yellow Warning Issued

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday warned of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms activity over Odisha till January 14.

“Under the influence of mid and upper tropospheric westerlies and interaction with low level easterlies and also moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha till January 14.” warned IMD.

DAY-1: (YELLOW WARNING) 12.01.2022

Thunderstorm accompanied with hail likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh.

DAY-2: (YELLOW WARNING) 13.01.2022 

Thunderstorm accompanied with hail likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal.

DAY-3: (YELLOW WARNING) 14.01.2022 

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Kandhamal.
