IMD predicts light to moderate rainfall in Odisha in next 24 hours

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here has predicted more rain for Odisha in next 24 hours. The rainfall would occur in isolated places with light to moderate intensity, said a bulletin released by IMD this morning.

As per the weatherman, a cyclonic circulation which has formed over the Bay of Bengal is active now and it is expected to trigger short spells of rainfall across the state. During this period the sky would remain mostly cloudy.

However, the intensity of the rain will increase in the state starting from August 4 and would continue till August 6, as per the bulleting issued by the IMD.

As per the IMD sources as many as six districts in Odisha have received less than 2mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours with Malkangiri leading at the top with 21 mm of rainfall.
