IMD predicts heavy rain for 13 Odisha districts till tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The IMD Regional Centre here has issued yellow alert for at least 13 districts of Odisha predicting more rain till tomorrow. The alert has been issued in view of the low pressure area lying over the southeast Jharkhand and adjoining areas of Odisha.

As per the forecast of the MeT Department, districts like Bargarh, Bolangir, Boudh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Sambalpur and Sundergarh will experience rainfall heavy to very rainfall at isolated places till 8.30 AM, tomorrow.

That apart, the Weatherman has also predicted squally weather with gusty wind reaching 40-50 kmph during the alerted period.

As a precautionary measure, fishermen have been advised to refrain from venturing into the disturbed sea in the next 24 hours.
