Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre has issued a thunderstorm and lightning alert for at least 3 districts of Odisha today.
As per the latest Nowcast of the MeT Department, districts like Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara are likely to experience moderate thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and light to moderate spells of rainfall between 9 am to 12 pm today.
As a precautionary measure people in these districts have been cautioned against venturing out of their homes during the extreme weather conditions and advised to take shelter in safe places to avoid eventuality.
