Bhubaneswar: The IMD Regional Centre here has issued thunderstorm and rain alert for several districts of Odisha today.
As per the latest weather bulletin of the MeT Department districts like Khordha including Bhubaneswar; Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Jajpur are likely to experience moderate thundershower and lightning accompanied by one or two spells of rainfall at one or two places between 10.15 am and 1.15 pm.
Notably, the Weatherman’s earlier warning for rainfall in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada and Koraput districts till 10.30 am has also been extended till 1.15 pm.
People in the alerted districts have been advised against venturing out their homes during the extreme weather conditions to avoid untoward incidents.
