Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued thunderstorm and lightning alert for eight districts in Odisha.
The MeT department has predicted moderate thunderstorm and lightning in parts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Rayagada districts between 1:30 and 4:30 pm today.
Light rainfall and gusty wind at 40 kmph may also occur at these places, the weathermen predicted.
