Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued a thunderstorm and lightning alert for at least three districts of Odisha today.
As per the latest Nowcast of the MeT department districts like Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Balasore are likely to experience spells of intense rains along with lightning at one or two places from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
In view of the approaching extreme weather conditions, people in these districts have been cautioned against venturing out of their homes to avoid eventuality during the alerted period.
