Bhubaneswar: IMD Regional Centre here has issued thunderstorm warning for five districts across Odisha from 11 am onwards on Saturday.
As per the latest bulletin from the MeT Department, light thunderstorm accompanied by light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts like Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balasore. The wind speed is expected to touch 30-40 kmph.
As a precautionary measure, the residents in these districts have been cautioned against venturing out of home and advised to take shelter in safe places during the alerted period.
Meanwhile, heatwave conditions will continue over several districts till the monsoon effects kick in completely.
