Bhubaneswar: The IMD Regional Centre here has issued rain and thunderstorm warning for at least seven districts of Odisha this afternoon.
As per the Nowcast of the MeT Department, districts like Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Rayagada are likely to witness spells of intense rainfall and thunderstorm accompanied by lightning between 1.45 pm and 4.45 pm.
As a part of precautionary measure people in the alerted districts have been advised to stay safe places during the extreme weather condition to avoid any kind of eventuality.
