Balangir: Muribahal police seized illicit liquor during a regular patrolling on tuesday. Two persons have been arrested in this connection and an unregistered scooter has also been seized.
One among the arrested persons has been identified as Jayakrushna Bag. According to reports, Jayakrushna is the husband of Muribahal panchayat’s Chairman, Sundarmiti Bag . The other person has been identified as Radhakanta Sahu.
The police has seized 10 pouches of 500 ml and 2 litres of country liquor from them.
A case has been registered against both the accused. As per the sources, police had forwarded them to the court where their bails had been denied.
