Illegal Mining: Odisha Govt to begin process of confiscating property of defaulter mining owners

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will begin process of confiscating property of defaulter mining owners from tomorrow.

As per the August 2 judgement of Supreme Court, a total Rs 17500 cr penalty is to be collected, out of which nearly Rs 12000 cr has already been collected. The State government’s order came following the SC decision.

According to reports, the nine lessees against whom certificate cases have been filed will appear before the Keonjhar District Magistrate on July 28.
